Amendment to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Accounting

President Ilham Aliyev has approved amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Accounting”, as well as changes to the Decree on the implementation of this Law.

According to the new amendments, accounting entities must maintain their accounting records electronically and submit their financial statements to the relevant authority in accordance with the Law “On Electronic Signature and Electronic Document”.

The Ministry of Finance must ensure the development, organization, and enhancement of the “e-accounting” information system, its placement within the Government Cloud (“Hökumət buludu”), and the inclusion of the System in both the Unified Register of State Information Resources, Systems and Electronic Services and the State Register of Personal Data Information Systems.
