On May 12, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted an important decision regarding the format and procedures for completing employment record books. With this new decision, the “Form of the Employee’s Employment Record Book and the Rules for Completing It” have been approved. At the same time, Decision No. 186 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated December 26, 1996, has been repealed.
This change serves to ensure that labor relations are regulated in a more transparent and modern framework. The newly approved rules introduce a more contemporary and systematic approach to the formalization and documentation of employment record books.
The regulations now in force provide updated legal and technical foundations for employers and human resources departments.
