Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the approval of the Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025–2028.

The foundation has been laid for introducing artificial intelligence–related regulation into the legislation of our country.

Thus, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 19 March 2025, the Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025–2028 was approved:

“Since the governance of artificial intelligence and its legal regulation play an important role in the application of artificial intelligence systems, an appropriate normative legal framework must be established in Azerbaijan in order to ensure the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence within defined value-based principles.
The establishment of regulatory norms for artificial intelligence also plays an important role in ensuring the fair distribution of the use and benefits of artificial intelligence, protecting individual rights, developing ethical guidelines, and implementing measures to mitigate the potential negative impacts of artificial intelligence on society.”
